Mr James Platt is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic surgeon treating patients with knee and hip complaints. He specialises in young adult arthritis, anterior knee pain/patellar instability, and partial/total knee replacement.
Mr Platt is one of the most experienced clinicians in the UK offering Arthrosamid®, a new injectable treatment for knee osteoarthritis which shows considerable promise for arthritic patients without resorting to surgery. He has now performed 307 Arthrosamid® procedures on over 235 patients as of 1st September 2026. Mr Platt has an MSc degree in Diagnostic Imaging, and is experienced in using ultrasound which he uses to perform all Arthrosamid® procedures under ultrasound guidance personally.
